During a scientific visit to the University of Andres Bello (UNAB) and SAPHIR Institute (Millennium Institute for Subatomic Physics at High-Energy Frontiers) further scientific cooperation between SÚRO and ÚTEF (Institute of Technical and Experimental Physics) and their Chilean colleagues was agreed, particularly in the radon programme, research on radon as a precursor to earthquakes and in the field of advanced detection technologies in January 2023. The scientific cooperation was also supported by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Chile, Mr Bechný.
