Representatives of the Emergency Preparedness Department of SÚRO took part in the preparation and execution of an interdepartmental training of mobile teams, which took place from 21 to 23 September 2026, at the Prague Kbely military area under the auspices of the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB).
The aim of the exercise was to practice procedures and activities necessary for managing radiation events. The main tasks included moving in the terrain and conducting measurements in areas with elevated radiation levels, locating and identifying sources of ionizing radiation, measuring surface contamination, and performing in-situ spectrometry.
The exercise involved teams from SÚJB, SÚRO, the Czech Army, the Fire and Rescue Services, and the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic.
