NATIONAL RADIATION PROTECTION INSTITUTE

The National Radiation Protection Institute (NRPI) is a public research institutions established by the decision of the chairman of the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SONS) on October 20, 2010, which became effective on January 1, 2011. The Institute was based mainly on National Radiation Protection Institute (NRPI) - non profit organization established on 1995 which was based mainly on the former Centre for Radiation Hygiene of the National Institute of Public Health in Prague, and it continues its tradition of many years. 

The Institute's basic purpose, as stipulated by its foundation charter, is to provide

1. research in radiation protection,
2. support of state supervision in radiation protection,
3. other activities in radiation protection
